blue diamond nut chips v. crunchmaster crackers.
August 19, 2011

For this weekend’s events and snack attacks alike, we’ve matched up Blue Diamond Baked Nut Chips vs. Crunchmaster Multi-Grain Crackers, who will duke it out to the finish! Both sport a mild sea salt flavor. Both stand tall against a cocktail and hunk of truffle-infused cheese. But which is the winner? There can only be one.
Blue Diamond Baked Nut Chips
Flavor: We weren’t expecting a dead-ringer for the Blue Diamond Nut Thin, but it tasted virtually identical. This is not a bad thing. We like the nicely neutral nut flavor, especially with a hunk of cheese or a swipe of bean dip atop.
Texture: A solid crunch with a buttery nut texture.
Other: We jokingly referred to these as “safety chips” on account of the rounded — rather than pointed — corners.
Crunchmaster Multi-Grain Crackers
Flavor: It’s as if Blue Diamond Nut Chips and Mary’s Gone Crackers got together and made a little baby and that baby was called Crunchmaster. The flavor is substantial with hints of nuts, seeds & grains.
Texture: Slightly airy (puffed, if you will) with tooth-friendly bits of seed and grain throughout.
Other: A cracker that can stand up on its own straight from the bag or can hang back a little if matched up against some cheese. The versatility of snack applications makes this an all-around winner in our book.
